After the successful hosting of the Communal Seder in our shul for the last two years , this will again be the venue for the 2018 event starting at 6:15pm. As always, our hard-working lay leaders will conduct the Haggadah readings and ritual.
However, because as we know space in the shul is limited, in order to ensure the comfort of all guests the Board has decided to impose a limit of 30 places at the Seder. These 30 places have now been allocated.
If you would like to go a Seder and have not responded in time to be included in the Communal Seder at the synagogue, you should email Jordana Schmidt, the congregation’s President, who will try to make alternative arrangements for you.
As in previous years, everyone who has been confirmed as attending the Communal Seder in the shul is asked to bring a plate to share. Please bring only salads (vegetables and greens only, no flour, grains, bread, or other chametz), kosher l’pesach fish, sweets (Pesach cakes or macaroons made from nut meal/potato flour/matzo meal only), or fruit.
Wine and other drinks, ritual foods, crockery and cutlery, and table settings in general will be provided by the congregation.
To help cover the associated costs, there is a scale of attendance charges which is unchanged from last year:
The total cost for your booking party must be paid in advance, using one of the following methods:
