This stone marks the place of David Lionel Fifth son of Henry and Esther Moses of Tower Hill London who after a brief sojourn of eleven months in this colony was gathered to his Father at the early age of 18 years on the Sabbath the 25th day of the month Elul am 5605 27 September 1845 Of an excellent disposition and amiable in manners his sorrowing relations deeply mourn the loss of one thus prematurely separated from them. Rejoice O young man in thy youth; with joy and gladness shalt thou rest in thy sepulchre. In the Garden of Eden hast thy canopy been prepared For thy God has chosen thee and under the tree of life shall thy soul rejoice Happy art thou and happy are those who begot thee quietly and in a short season hast thou performed thy work and for thee is prepared a great reward. Happy art thou and happy is thy soul thou young man. David son of Henry who departed on the day of holy Sabbath the 25th of Elul and was interred for everlasting life on the 2nd day of the week the 27th of Elul in the year 5605 AM
