12 December 1841At a Public meeting of the members of the Jewish Benevolent Society held at the house of Mr Robert Hart on the twelfth day of December 1841 (5602)

It was moved by Mr David Moses and seconded by Mr Philip Levy that the Jewish Benevolent Society be in future renominated the Hebrew Philanthropic Institution. Carried unanimously
Resolved by Mr David Moses and seconded by Mr H S Benjamin that Messrs Louis Nathan, Phineas Moss, Judah Solomon, Isaac Solomon and Phillip Levy be appointed a SubCommittee for the purpose of drawing up a code of laws for the regulations of the Society (Carried unanimously)
It was unanimously resolved that the meeting be adjourned until Sunday the 26 day of December Instant.
