Transcription
At a meeting held at the house of Mr Friedman It was proposed by Mr R Hart and seconded by Mr Friedman that Proper Materials be procured for the purpose of making a Canopy for the Celebration of Marriages and the Requisite sum be procured from the funds of the Society. (carried)
It was further proposed by Mr Friedman and seconded by Mr Judah Solomon that the marriage fee be 21/ and the fee for the Collector be 5/ for Each Marriage. (carried)
It was proposed by Mr Phillip Levy Junr and seconded by Mr Judah Solomon that in consequence of the resignation of Mr H S Benjamin that Mr P Moss be appointed Vice President for the time being. (carried)
It was also proposed by Mr J Solomon Jun r and seconded by Mr Phillip Levy Junr that some place be procured for the purpose of making a Synagogue. (carried)
It was also Resolved that a Room be taken from Mr Judah Solomon for the above purpose and the following Gentlemen have
Subscribed the Sums placed after their Respective Names
