Join the congregation as we observe Yom Kippur. Communal worship on the most solemn day in the Jewish calendar continues with the Musaf service. Everyone wishing to attend is welcome.
Geoff Garber from Melbourne’s King David School will be rejoining us this year to help ensure a sacred and moving occasion.
This is the first year Hobart synagogue will be using the new Mishkan T’Shuvah High Holy Day prayer book which introduces a new Musaf (additional) service. This format is traditional in Orthodox services but was not in the old Progressive prayer book.
As is the custom in our shul, there will be a break after the end of the Musaf service before Yom Kippur prayers resume with Minchah at 5:00pm.
